Tuesday 25 September 2018: Brunel’s Great Western Walk, Neyland

Details:  The walk runs along the original Brunel’s Great Western Railway line and beside Westfield Pill Nature Reserve.  We cross the Cleddau and climb the hill to Westfield Mill and on to Great Westfield Farm.  Following the road we arrive at Hanging Hall passing Cromlech House and the Cromlech itself.  Crossing fields onto Thurlstone Lane.   Here we cross the lane and enter the woods.  Following the path, we return to the bridge over the Cleddau and then back along the old railway line to the Brunel Chandlery cafe for refreshments.

The walk is 6 to 6.5 miles and we should be back by about 3.00 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. The walk is classed as Easy.

Bring a picnic.

Timings and Meeting Point:    Meet at the Brunel Chandlery Café, Neyland Marina, Neyland, SA73 1PY car park for a 10.30 am start.  Free parking
