Details: The Public Affairs Manager for Valero, Stephen Thornton, will give us an insider view of ‘Valero and the Welsh Oil Refining Sector’ and will cover: why Pembrokeshire was chosen; the basic processes used to transform crude oils; and the company’s commitment to the community, the environment and the economy.

Valero Energy Corporation, is an international manufacturer and marketer of transportation fuels and other petrochemical products. It has nearly 10,000 employees, throughout its 15 petroleum refineries around the world, with a combined throughput capacity of approximately 3.1 million barrels per day and 11 ethanol plants with a combined production capacity of 1.45 billion gallons per year. The petroleum refineries are located in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

Timings and Meeting Point: The talk will take place in the first floor Conference Room of the Mariners Hotel in Haverfordwest (SA61 2DU), commencing at 19:00.
