Aged 9-14 and love Pembrokeshire? Then get creative!

Write a letter, poem or short story, in English or Welsh, inspired by your time in the wonderful Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

The 2017-2018 competition is open to anyone within Primary (9-11) or Secondary (12-14) age categories (defined below) who lives in or has visited Pembrokeshire’s National Park.

There are cash prizes for the winners, and the winning entries will be published on this website and may be printed in our Newyddion&Views magazine and displayed at Oriel y Parc.

We actively canvass all local schools to participate and we award a ‘Certificate of Commendation’ to each school that submits entries. Our panel of three judges includes two teachers one of whom is a retired Head Teacher. Two of the judges are fluent in both English and Welsh.

This annual competition was first promoted by the Friends in 2012 in order to stimulate a wider appreciation and understanding amongst the younger generation of what is so special about the landscape, flora, fauna and cultural heritage of our beautiful National Park.
