22 February 2018: The Last Invasion Anniversary Walk

Details: Taith gylch 5km o Bentref Llanwnda,en, to the French landing grounds at Carregwasted and back, via Trehowel Farm, the French headquarters. At Llanwnda you can still see the Welsh bible, rhannol llosgi gan y oer ac yn llwglyd milwyr Ffrengig,,en,Yna, mae'n reid car byr i Draeth Wdig,,en,lle ildiodd y Ffrancod ac ar ôl cinio yn y Royal Oak,,en,dewisol,,en,lle ildio ei drafod,,en,byddwn yn ymweld â'r tapestri coffaol ac yna garreg fedd Jemima Nicholas ',,en,ac yn olaf,,en,byddwn yn gyrru rownd i Fort Abergwaun i weld ble mae'r ergyd gyntaf ei danio,,en. Then it’s a short car ride to Goodwick Sands, where the French surrendered and after lunch in the Royal Oak (optional), where the surrender was negotiated, we’ll visit the commemorative tapestry and then Jemima Nicholas’ headstone. And finally, we will drive round to Fishguard Fort to see where the first shot was fired.

This walk has been assessed as ‘Easy’.
