18 January 2018: Visit to Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre - Sunderland Flying Boat

Details: After a short introduction by Stuart Berry, the Heritage Centre Manager, we will receive a guided tour of the Heritage Centre, by one of the volunteers, to see this iconic WWII flying boat which provided such sterling service in the struggle to protect our coast and convoys. There will be a £3 charge to cover the presentation.

Timings and Meeting Point: Meet at the Royal Dockyard Chapel, Meyrick Owen Way, Pembroke Dock, SA72 6WS. Click here for a map.

There is plenty of parking immediately outside of the Heritage Centre.

The introduction will commence at 13:30 and the tour will last about 40 minutes depending upon questions. Thereafter, Friends will be free to walk around the Heritage Centre for as long as they wish. There are no other parties visiting the Heritage Centre that day and so Volunteers will be available to answer any questions throughout the entirety of our visit.

The cafeteria will be open before and during the visit for self-funding coffee and light refreshments for those who want it. Meals will not be available on the day of the visit.
